Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This website, Sparky! (buckycomics.com), is a webcomic. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, and how it is used.

Who runs this site

Aiden Buchsbaum (“I” or “me”). You can reach me at apbuchsbaum@liberty.edu.

What is collected

• Server logs. Like most websites, the company that hosts this site (Hostinger) automatically records technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the date and time. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
• Analytics. I use Google Analytics, through the Site Kit plugin, to see how many people visit and which comics are read. It uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device, and the pages you view. Google processes this information. You can opt out with Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Fonts. The site loads its headline font (Bangers) from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
• Search. Search. If you use the search box, the words you type become part of the page address and are used in your browser to filter the comics. Because they are part of the address, they may appear in server logs and analytics. They are not tied to your identity.
• Messages. If you email me, I receive your name, email address and message. I use them only to reply.

This site has no user accounts, no comments and no store, and I do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

WordPress, and Google Analytics if it is turned on, may place small files called cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work without them.

How information is used

To run and protect the site, to understand how many people read the comic, and to reply to messages.

Who it is shared with

Only the services that make the site work: my hosting provider (Hostinger) and Google (analytics and fonts). I may also share information if the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Messages are kept as long as needed to reply and follow up. Server logs and analytics data are kept according to the settings of my hosting provider and Google.

Your choices

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU and UK GDPR or California law), you may have the right to ask what information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email me and I will help.

Children

This site is meant for a general audience and is not aimed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page.
